      Hyundai India has provided the Hyundai Xcent a big safety boost. The company has now made ABS and twin airbags standard across all the variant of the Xcent. The move to enhance the safety features now puts the Xcent in the same level as the other best selling compact sedans like the Honda Amaze and the Maruti Dzire. It is expected that the prices of the vehicle will be increased due to the addition of these new safety features. The current price of the Hyundai Xcent starts at Rs.5.5 lakh for the basic petrol model and goes up to Rs.7.69 lakh for the top end model. The prices of the diesel variant start at Rs.6.42 lakh and can go up to Rs.8.61 lakh. Hyundai has also stopped the production of E+ variants of the Xcent and the car is now offered only with the E,S, and Sx option across both diesel and petrol variants. The Hyundai Xcent is a sub 4 meter compact sedan that is based on the popular Hyundai Grand i10. The car has gained popularity both among cab operators and private car buyers. The engines and manual gear boxes used in the Xcent are similar to the ones used in Grand i10. The diesel engine of the Xcent is a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder turbocharged diesel motor with a power of 70 bhp and a torque of 170 Nm.     • Hyundai to Launch Tucson SUV by August - September 2016

      Hyundai is all set to launch two new cars - the Tucson and the all new Elantra in India this year. The new Tucson SUV will compete against Tata Hexa, Mahindra XUV500 and similar cars in the SUV segment.
