Thalliki Vandanam Scheme

The Thalliki Vandanam Scheme is a welfare initiative that was launched by the government of Andhra Pradesh on 12 June 2025. The aim of this scheme is to provide financial help to families who are unable to afford their children's education. 

Under this scheme, selected students will receive Rs.15,000 from the state government. The amount will be directly transferred to the mother's bank account. This support aims to help students complete their school education without financial barriers.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the scheme, an individual must fulfil the below given criteria: 

  • The student must be enrolled in a recognized school from Class 1st to Class 12th. 
  • There must be at least one valid Rice Cardholder in the family. 
  • If a child is orphaned or homeless, then they must be enrolled through a registered voluntary organization. 
  • The bank account of the mother must be linked with an Aadhaar card Aadhaar-linked and enabled with NPCI for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). 
  • For the academic year 2025-26, students applying for admission into class 1st to 12th will only be considered after they have completed the enrollment process. 
  • Land holding should be less than three acres of wetland, or less than ten acres of dry land, or less than ten acres combined (wet and dry). 
  • The average monthly electricity bill for the last 12 months must be less than 300 units. 
  • Attendance must be 75% attendance in the following academic year. 
  • The family income must not be more than Rs.10,000 in rural areas and Rs.12,000 in urban areas per month.

Important Guidelines for Your Application

Here are some of the guidelines which can cause rejection of your application process: 

  1. Student’s family must not own any four-wheeler and a municipal property of 1000 sq. ft. or more 
  1. No household member should be employed in any Public Sector Unit (PSU). 
  1. Student must not be enrolled in ITI, Polytechnic, IIIT (RGUKT), or other courses with fee reimbursement 
  1. Student must not discontinue studies, and attendance must be more than 75% 
  1. Student or family must be listed in the official household database and pass GSWS field verification.
