The Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships (ePASS), also known as KARePASS, is managed by the Government of Karnataka's Department of Backward Classes Welfare.
It distributes post-secondary scholarships through an online system that connects colleges, banks, the Treasury, welfare ministries, and the databases of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC). Scholarship funds are deposited directly into the beneficiary's bank account via the Karepass network.

E-Pass Karnataka Post Matric Scholarship | The scholar must be enrolled in a post-matriculation program. For Category 1, the scholar's family's annual household income should not exceed Rs.1.50 Lakh P/A. The annual family income of the scholar's family shall not exceed Rs.2 Lakh P/A for Category 2A, 3A, and 3B. |
E-Pass Karnataka Fee Concession Scheme | The candidate must be enrolled in a post-graduate program. The candidate's annual family income should not exceed Rs.1,000,000 for Category 1. In addition, for Categories 2A, 3A, and 3B, the candidate's family income should not exceed Rs.2.50 Lakh per annum. |

The financial assistance provided under the scholarship schemes of ePASS are as follows:
Following registration, each student will receive an application number through registered mail or cell phone. If an applicant misplaces his or her application number, he or she can retrieve it through the scholarship's official web portal.
The scholarship money will be deposited into the candidates' bank accounts via DBT (Direct Bank Transfer).
The ePASS Karnataka Food & Accommodation Scholarship (FAAS) has a maximum monthly grant of Rs.1,500 over ten months. In Karnataka, the Concessionary charge (FC) Scheme for ePASS allows for a maximum charge of Rs.1,750 per year for training, lab work, sports, and readers.
