Delhi Jal Board (DJB) was incorporated in 1998 with the aim to provide potable water to the residents of the National Capital. With its presence for over five decades, it has been supplying pure and filtered water to more than 160 lakh consumers. If you are a resident of Delhi, you have to pay for your water consumption monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly.
To check your Delhi water bill online, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of DJB at http://delhijalboard.nic.in/home/delhi-jal-board-djb.
Step 2: Select 'View/Print Latest Bill' from the menu displayed on the left side.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the customer portal of DJB.
Step 4: Click on ‘View/Print Latest Bill’.
Step 5: To view your bill, enter your KNO. Note that cancelled bills are not displayed on the bill’s history.
A unique KNO number is allotted to every water connection. This alphanumeric code comprises 13 characters, starting with DJB and ending with the 10-digit water connection number.
If you wish to find your KNO number, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the customer portal of DJB.
Step 2: Click on ‘Know Your KNO’.
Step 3: Enter details like the zone, area, water connection number, and MR number.
Step 4: Your KNO number will appear on the screen.
DJB offers various online payment modes like credit cards, debit cards, UPI, BBPS, e-wallets, net banking, NEFT, and RTGS.
The steps to pay your Delhi water bill online are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the customer portal of DJB.
Step 2: Click on ‘Pay Online’.
Step 3: Choose your preferred payment option.
Step 4: Enter your KNO number.
Step 5: The payment details will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Make the payment.
If you want to pay your water bill offline in Delhi, you can visit the nearest water supply office along with your water bill. You can pay the bill via cash, credit cards, debit cards, cheque, and UPI.
If you want to get a duplicate copy of your Delhi water bill, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of DJB.
Step 2: Navigate to the DJB's duplicate bill download page.
Step 3: Provide the 10-digit number mentioned on the bill.
Step 4: Enter the captcha displayed on the screen and click ‘show bill details.’
Step 5: The details of your bill will be shown along with a pdf button. You can download a PDF version of your bill.
DJB offers various services such as a new connection, rainwater harvesting, borewell, and more. If you want to apply for a new connection, you will have to fill in an application form.
The steps to apply for a new water connection in Delhi are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the customer portal of DJB.
Step 2: Click on ‘Apply for New Connection.’
Step 3: A set of instructions will be displayed on the next page. Before you start filling out the application form, go through the instructions.
Step 4: Enter all the required information in the form.
Step 5: Provide proof of identity and proof of ownership along with the form.
Step 6: Once you have completed all of the fields, click ‘Submit.’
If you want to apply for a new connection offline, you can collect the application form from DJB’s Zonal Revenue Office (ZRO).

Yes. You can pay your Delhi water bill online.
You can check your Delhi water bill by entering your KNO number on the DJB customer portal.
Any Delhi resident who is the owner of the premises/tenant and has a valid identity proof and property ownership (excluding in areas controlled by the NDMC and the Delhi Cantonment Board) can apply for a new water and sewer connection.
You can submit your application form either on the DJB customer portal or at the Zonal Revenue Office (ZRO).
