  7. Through the months of August, September, and October, the scrip lost more than 25% to slip in the Rs.600 region by early October. This meant that since the start of the year, the shares had lost more than 50%. In the second half of October, the scrip hit its 52-week low at Rs.545.10 on the NSE.

  1. At the start of January 2016, the share price of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited was varying at levels close to Rs.330 on the NSE. In the first quarter of the calendar year, the stocks lost a little over 10% to descend into the Rs.290 region. Through most of February and March, the shares were traded at levels close to Rs.270 on the NSE.
  2. In the first three months of the year, the company also gave two interim dividends of 200% and 150% each. Things didn't change significantly through most of April and early May as the stocks continued to hold steady at levels close to Rs.280. In the closing days of May, however, the scrip appreciated by a little over 15% to once again ascend into the Rs.330 region.

However, the scrip failed to find momentum at those levels and following the demonetisation in November, it shed some of its recent losses. Consequently, the scrip ended the year on a flat note at Rs.520.65 on the NSE.
