    1. Standing crop: This insures the loss of crop between the sowing and harvesting period, due to reasons such as flood, pest attack, natural fire, cyclone, diseases, etc.
    2. Localized calamities: This insures loss of crop due to landslide, hailstorm, etc.
    3. Prevented sowing: This insures loss of crop if the sowing is not possible due to drastic climatic conditions.
    4. Post-harvest loss: This insures crop against cyclones, unseasonal rainfall, etc., within two weeks of harvesting.

Note: The scheme does not cover crops destroyed due to avoidable menaces or due to nuclear perils.
