- Prevented sowing: This insures loss of crop if the sowing is not possible due to drastic climatic conditions.
- Post-harvest loss: This insures crop against cyclones, unseasonal rainfall, etc., within two weeks of harvesting.
Note: The scheme does not cover crops destroyed due to avoidable menaces or due to nuclear perils.
