    BOI Star Mitra Personal Loan:

    This personal loan is given to the physically challenged. It is solely given to help out physically challenged people so that they can be financially independent and also manage credit efficiently.

    • It can be used to buy durable and advanced appliances and aids that will help them in taking care of physical and social rehabilitation.
    • It is given to any physically challenged person who is salaried or self-employed. Even a physically challenged minor can apply for this loan with the help of his or her parent or guardian. However, it does not allow any advance to a middle-man or an NGO.
    • It can be acquired as demand loan or a term loan.
    • The maximum quantum of this secured loan is Rs.1 lakh.
    • There is a margin of 10% on this loan.
    • You will need to repay this loan within 12 to 60 months.
    • The processing fee is waived for this loan.
    • The security for this loan will be hypothecation of the equipment that is bought with the help of the loan.
    • The insurance cost is waived. However, the bank recommends the loan applicant to buy insurance for the loan on his own.
    • This loan will have a fixed interest rate.
    • While applying for this personal loan, the applicant will be required to submit a doctor’s certificate to show the extent of handicap and the requirement for the equipment.
