Virginia Tech and BITS Pilani.
We are based in Madras, India and are backed up by a fabulous group of investors from India and the USA.
Adhil Shetty, Founder & CEO- Prior to BankBazaar.com, Adhil lived in New York City and managed Deloitte Touche Tomahatsu's US East alliances with the world's leading Information Management Company. Earlier in his career, Adhil worked with Cisco Systems as an engineer in Bangalore and San Jose. Adhil has a Masters degree in International Relations with a specialization in International Finance and Business from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University.
Arjun Shetty, Founder & COO- Prior to founding BankBazaar.com, Arjun worked at Amazon.com in Seattle and managed the Amazon.com Visa Card program. He developed an online account acquisition strategy that made the program into one of the world’s largest co-branded credit card programs. He was also a key contributor to the success of Amazon's international co-branded credit card programs. Earlier in his career, Arjun learned all about the economics of customer acquisition and the credit card industry while working for Capital One. Arjun has a Masters degree in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy Anna University.
Rati Rajkumar, Founder & Chief Product Officer- Rati is one of our founders and is responsible for the customer experience on BankBazaar.com. Prior to founding BankBazaar.com, Rati spent a few years working for Kraft Foods in the US and Taiwan. She managed the launch and go to market operations of many of Kraft Food's brands in export markets across the world, such as Toblerone in Brazil and Milka in the US. Rati has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from MOP Vaishnav College.
Iype Isac, CTO- Prior to BankBazaar.com, Iype worked at Microsoft in Redmond and was a senior member of the team that built Failover Cluster Server for Windows Server 2008 . Iype was awarded Microsoft's Gold Star Award in 2008. Before joining Microsoft, Iype developed credit strategies for account management and new account acquisition for Capital One, and was awarded the Circle of Excellence award. Iype has a Masters degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, USA and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University.
Vimal Kumar, CIO- Vimal is responsible for BankBazaar's online marketing strategy and technology platform. Prior to BankBazaar.com, Vimal worked at Amazon.com and was one of the core members of the team that built Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS). Before Amazon, Vimal worked with Trilogy Inc. on rule based systems that model the engineering/marketing rules of high-end computer servers and clusters. Vimal has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University.
Gurjap Singh Kohli, VP Admin & Customer Service- Gurjap is responsible for BankBazaar.com's customer service and facilities. Gurjap has extensive experience in the BPO space, and has worked for Nipuna Services, Exl Service.com and Spectramind eServices. He instrumented and implemented quality parameters for a new email process for a leading computer manufacturer, and was a senior member of the team involved in recruiting and setting up a technical support process for one of the biggest ISPs in the USA.
