Mobile banking is also another method of paying the credit card bill. Most banks including OBC offer mobile banking services for its customers. You will need to download the OBC mobile app of your bank. In order to pay your credit card bill through mobile banking, here are the few steps you need to follow:
The auto-debit feature is one of the most common methods of payment for credit cards. In this method, the payment for the credit card is automatically debited from your savings account on the due date. While applying for the credit card, you can opt for the auto-debit form of payment where you submit your savings account details such as the account number and IFSC code. Once done, at the end of the billing cycle, OBC will debit the bill amount directly from your account. If you opt for an auto-debit method of payment in the middle of the month, the bill amount will be subjected to auto-debit from the following month.
RTGS or Real Time Gross Settlement is another form of online payment for your credit card bill. In this method, you will have to log in to your net banking service and register your credit card. Once your credit card is registered, you can click to pay your bill amount by selecting RTGS payment. However, RTGS payment is only applicable for large amount transactions, if your credit card bill is more than Rs.2 lakh.
You can now pay your credit card bill through Paytm as well. Initially, you could only pay your VISA credit card bills through Paytm but now any VISA and MasterCard credit card bill can be paid through the app or the website. You can pay your credit card bill through BillDesk. BillDesk is an online website which allows you to make all kinds of payments from telephone bills to electricity bills along with gas and mobile phone bills. In order to pay your credit card bill through UPI, you will need to register yourself through the BHIM app which is available on Google's Play Store. Here are the steps which need to be followed to pay your credit card bill with UPI:
You can pay your credit card bill at any Oriental Bank of Commerce ATM. You will have to visit the ATM and select the deposit option and not withdrawal. Once you do, you will have to enter the credit card number or the account number. You will have to deposit the bill amount and click on submit. The money will be credited to your credit card account. It must be noted that not all ATMs have the provision of depositing money. It is advised to check before making the transaction.
The credit card payment can also be done through a demand draft. The demand draft will need to have your credit card number or account number and the bill amount. It must be submitted at the branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce. A draft payment takes up to 3 working days to get cleared.
In order to pay your OBC credit card bill through cash, you will need to visit an OBC bank branch. If you do not hold an OBC savings account, visit your savings bank branch and fill out a cash deposit slip. In the slip, you will have to mention the credit card account number, the date, the bill amount as well as the denomination of the notes you will be paying with. Once the form is filled, you will be required to submit it to the bank teller in order to process the payment.
An offline method of payment, most people prefer to pay their credit card bills through cheque. OBC and non-OBC account holders have the provision to pay the bill by cheque. You as a credit cardholder will need to write a cheque stating the credit card account number, the date as well as the bill amount. Once done, you can submit the cheque directly at your bank branch or even at a nearby drop box.
Phone banking is another option which can be used to pay the credit card bill of Oriental Bank of Commerce.
