NAV Disclosure and Benchmark for the SBI PSU Fund - Regular Plan - Growth Option

The Net Asset Value or NAV of the scheme is calculated and is required to be declared by the end of every working day. The Net Asset Value of each unit under the scheme is calculated using the following formula:

Net Asset Value (NAV) = (Market Value or Fair Value of the investments of the scheme + Current Assets - Current Liabilities and Provisions) / Number of outstanding units under the scheme on the date of valuation.

The NAV is rounded off to approximately 4 decimal places. As per the recommendation of the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996, the NAV is required to be published in at least 2 daily newspapers. The NAV is also declared in the official website of SBI Mutual Funds (www.sbimf.com) as well as the AMFI website (www.amfiindia.com). The declarations are to be made by the asset management company (AMC) by 9:00 p.m. on every business day. In case there is a delay in the same, the AMC will be liable to issue a press release and provide the reasons with an explanation for the delay.

Investment Restrictions of the SBI PSU Fund - Regular Plan - Growth Option

A few restrictions are applicable at the time of making investments in the SBI PSU Fund - Regular Plan - Growth Option. Some of these investment restrictions are as follows:

  • The scheme should not invest more than 10% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in debt instruments which are issued by a single issuer. The debt instruments include both non-money market instruments money market instruments.
  • However, the scheme would be able to extend the investment to up to 12% of the Net Asset Value (NAV) in debt instruments that are issued by a single issuer with prior approval from the Board of Directors (BOD) of the asset management company (AMC) and the Board of Trustees.
  • The investments made by a scheme in unrated debt instruments which are issued by a single issuer should not exceed 10% of its Net Asset Value (NAV).
  • The total investment made by a scheme in unrated debt instruments should not be more than 25% of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of the scheme.
  • The scheme should not extend any loans or advances for any purpose.
  • Investments shall not be made by the scheme in fund of funds scheme.
  • Investments shall not be made by the scheme in any securities of an associate or group of company of the sponsor which are unlisted.
  • Investments shall not be made by the scheme in any securities that are issued through private placement by an associate or group company of the sponsor.
  • Investments shall be made by the scheme in any listed securities of group companies of the sponsor to the extent of 25% of the net assets.

Dividend Policy of the SBI PSU Fund - Regular Plan - Growth Option

Under the SBI PSU Fund - Regular Plan - Growth Option scheme, the dividends are not declared. The income arising from the units under this option will remain invested. This will be reflected on the Net Asset Value or NAV of units under the option.
