The dividend yield of a stock at the time of an investment is taken into account before an investment under this scheme is made. However, according to the guidelines by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the mutual fund can opt to deploy up to 50% of the total assets of the scheme for stock lending. Under this scheme, customers can select from the 2 plans available before making an investment - Direct Plan and Regular Plan.
