Mutual Funds – it can’t get bigger than this!

Mutual Funds Highest Return

No one wants their money to sit idle. Instead, everyone wants their money to multiply and this is possible only by investing. When it comes to investing, the popularity of mutual funds as investment vehicles is on a rise and the biggest reason for this is their potential to deliver attractive returns. Mutual fund investments can yield returns better than other forms of investments such as bank deposits and gold.

What are mutual funds?

Mutual funds are investment products that collect money from many investors and invest it in various securities such as stocks, bonds, money market instruments, etc., to generate capital appreciation for the investor in the form of returns. The assets are managed by professionals known as fund managers.

Which mutual funds offer the highest returns?

Mutual funds are mainly classified into 3 types - equity, debt, and hybrid. Equity funds are mutual fund schemes that invest mainly in equity and its related securities of companies while debt funds make investments in debt securities such as government securities, treasury bills, etc. Hybrid funds invest in a mix of equity and debt securities.

Among the 3 categories of funds, equity mutual funds are known to deliver the highest returns but are also accompanied by the highest level of risk. However, over the long term the risk is balanced out and hence, equity funds offer attractive returns when invested in for a long horizon, say, at least 7 to 10 years.
