Investment Restrictions of HDFC Liquid Fund - Direct Plan - Growth

Some of investment restrictions of the scheme have been listed below:

  • All transactions concerning Government Securities will be done in dematerialised form.
  • If the investments are meant to be long-term in nature, the mutual fund may purchase or transfer securities in the name of the fund.
  • Investments in debt instruments that consist of both money and non-money market instruments should not exceed more than 10% of the NAV of the scheme.
  • More than 10% of the NAV may not be invested in unrated debt instruments that have been issued by a single issuer.
  • There is an option to transfer investments between schemes in the same fund. This is however subject to certain conditions.
  • Loans shall not be advanced by the fund in any case.
  • More than 20% of the NAV may not be invested by the scheme in a group. With approval from the trustees, this can be extended to 25% of the NAV.
  • Investments made in debt securities that have been issued by an issuer belonging to one sector shall not exceed more than 25% of the NAV.

  • HDFC Swing Systematic Transfer Plan - Under this option, unit holders can transfer units of HDFC Mutual Fund in non-demat form at regular intervals from the open-ended scheme of HDFC Mutual Fund to the growth option of an open ended scheme of HDFC Mutual Fund.
  • Dividend Transfer Plan Facility - This is a facility in which unit holders of HDFC Mutual Fund have the option to automatically invest the dividend into a target scheme of HDFC Mutual Fund. This option is available for unit holders who are holding units in non-demat form and under the dividend option of the scheme.
  • Systematic Withdrawal Advantage Plan (SWAP) - This plan gives the unit holders the option to withdraw either a fixed or variable amount at periodic intervals.
  • HDFC FLEXINDEX Plan - Unit holders that have units in non-demat form can transfer a percentage of the amount in the scheme to select equity schemes. This can done on the trigger dates during the 1 year period from the date of registration.
  • Automatic Trigger Facility - Unit holders holding units in non-demat form have the option to switch or withdraw the units after minimum capital gain. The units will be automatically redeemed after reaching a desired value or after the completion of a fixed amount of time.
