NAV: NAV or net asset value of each unit of the scheme is calculated by dividing the net assets of the scheme by the total number of outstanding units on the valuation date. The rules prescribed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Mutual Funds) Regulations under Schedule VIII are strictly followed while calculating the NAV of the scheme.

Liquidity: By the end of every business day the Net Asset Value or NAV is computed and published. It is displayed in the official website of the company at www.franklintempletonindia.com and also in the AMFI portal at www.amfiindia.com. While calculating the Net Asset Value is rounded up to 4 decimal places to get the final figure. As regulated by SEBI, the fund house will also display its full portfolio after every 6 months.

Benchmark: The Nifty Smallcap 250 is the benchmark index of the Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund. Based on the performance of this index, the profits and losses of this scheme will be assessed.

Dividend Policy of the Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund

Under this scheme, the dividends can be declared and distributed by the Trustee any time at whatever frequency. Dividends will be declared as per the availability of the distributable surplus. The dividends will be paid only to the investors whose names are there on the Unitholder’s register on the record date. Within 30 days of the declaration, the dividends will be distributed. Based on the chosen payment mode, the investors will receive the dividend payouts either through cheque or electronic means.
