Investment Restrictions of Franklin India Income Opportunities Fund - Growth

Some of the investment restrictions of the fund have been listed below:

  • No loans will be advanced by the mutual fund for any reason whatsoever.
  • Investments shall not be made in any fund of funds schemes.
  • The scheme at times may make investments in other schemes free of cost. This is provided that the aggregate of all the investments made by the scheme does not exceed 5% of the NAV of the fund.
  • More than 10% of the NAV of the scheme shall not be invested in debt instruments that comprise of non-money market instruments and money market instruments that have been issued by a single issuer. This is however subject to some terms and conditions.
  • No more than 10% of the NAV of the scheme may be invested in unrated debt instruments that have been issued by a single issuer. In such cases, the total investments made in similar instruments should not exceed 25% of the NAV.
  • Investments may be made by the scheme in other financial market instruments. This is however done as per the guidelines issued by the RBI / SEBI / Central Government from time to time.
