Birla Sun Life Dividend Yield Plus is handled by Mr. Satyabrata Mohanty and Mr. Vineet Maloo.
Mr. Satyabrata Mohanty is the head of Mixed Assets at Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd. He is a part of the equity team. He is a C.F.A. charter holder and holds a C.A. designation and a B.Com degree. Before joining Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd., he worked at Aditya Birla Management Corporation Ltd. He has a widespread experience in finance and research and has handles responsibilities across fund management, trading and credit research functions.
Mr. Vineet Maloo is a fund manager at Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company Ltd. He is a part of the equity team at Birla Sun Life Asset. Mr. Maloo has around 10 years of experience. He previously served as an Executive Assistant to the CFO at Hindalco Industries Ltd. From April 2005 to October 2006. He provided analytical support to the CFO. He was also associated with Aditya Birla Management Corporation Ltd. and M/s D.K. Chajjer & Co.Chartered Accountants. Mr. Maloo is a qualified Chartered Account and he has received a B.Com degree in Finance, Accounting and Business Laws from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.

The scheme to generate returns by investing in companies who pay high dividend. The stocks of high dividend yielding companies provide a high degree of protection during the fall of equity markets. There is a good chance of the stock prices appreciating along with the protection it offers from the fall of equity markets. ?The scheme builds a portfolio combining the high dividend yield, substantial capital protection and strong possibility of capital gains. Investing in high dividend yield is termed as ‘Defensive Investment Strategy”. Higher dividend payout is perceived by the fund manager as an indication of enough cash generation in the business. The fund manager carefully selects the stocks to unlock the potential growth that reflects the share prices.

How to apply – online + distributors
You can buy the Birla Sun Life Dividend Yield Plus through both the online as well as the offline platform.
For you to apply through the online platform, you have to visit the Mutual Fund Birla Sun Life webpage. You can invest online or you can ask for an advisor. The webpage has an application form available, you can fill the application and submit it. To invest online, you need to key in your username or your folio number and the password that has been provided to you. You also need to key in your PAN card details as and when required.
In order to apply offline, you will have to physically approach the Birla Sun Life branch and submit your KYC form. You will then have to fill up all the application forms and then submit the form at the respective counter. If needed, you can also ask the executives to give you further clarification on the fund.
