    • UM DSR Adventure 200 ABS Expected to Stand at Rs.1.39 Lakh

      It is expected that the New Year will bring with it some off-roading vehicle launches in the country of India. In less than a month’s span, Benelli has been witnessed testing the TRK 502 X, the testing of the Classic 500 Scrambler by Royal Enfield, the testing of XTZ 125 by Yamaha, and until recently, the highly anticipated 390 Adventure of KTM.

      A set of brand new leaked images has revealed that the new model will have some new modifications and its pricing will stand at around Rs.1.39 lakh.

    • Indian FTR 1200 S and Race Replica launched in India

      Inspired by flat-trackers, Indian Motorcycle has launched the FTR 1200 S and the FTR 1200 S Race Replica in India for ex-showroom prices of Rs.14.99 lakh and Rs.15.49 lakh, respectively. Deliveries for the bikes are expected to commence from April 2019 and bookings have begun for both models for a price of Rs.2 lakh.

      Inspired by the FTR 750 Scout, both bikes are powered by a 1,203cc V-twin engine which produces 120hp and 115Nm of torque. While the FTR 1200 S has a black frame, the Race Replica has a red trellis frame. The FTR 1200 S also comes with a 4.3-inch, Bluetooth built-in LCD display.

    • Honda launches 2019 CBR1000RR in India

      Honda has launched the Standard and SP variants of the CBR Fireblade in India for ex-showroom (Delhi) prices of Rs.16.43 lakh and Rs.19.28 lakh, respectively. Expected to commence deliveries early next year, bookings are now open at Honda’s Wing World outlets in Delhi and Mumbai.

      Mated to a 6-speed transmission, the 2019 variant of the Fireblade is powered by a 999cc 4-cylinder, in-line engine which produces 191.6hp and 114Nm of torque. A gyroscopic ABS system and selectable engine braking are some of the additional electronic features in the 2019 variant. The Grand Prix Red and Matt Ballistic Black Metallic are the 2 colours available for the 2019 variant.

    • 2019 Honda Gold Wing Tour GL1800 DCT launched in India

      At an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs.27.79 lakh, bookings have opened for the 2019 Honda Gold Wind Tour GL1800 DCT. The Tour, which comes with a standard dual-clutch transmission, is the only variant available in India. The 2019 variant sees Honda improve on all technical aspects. The variant features Apple CarPlay, gets two SmartKeys instead of one, and also full-LED lighting. The overall system software has also been improved by Honda. The weight of the vehicles has also been dropped and the rigidity has been improved due to use of new chassis.

      The 2019 variant is powered by a 1,833cc, 6-cylinder engine, which produces 126hp and 170Nm of torque. The main rival for the Gold Wind Tour GL1800 DCT is the BMW K 1600 GTL Pro, which has an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs.28.65 lakh.

    • Five-year warranty, insurance on Bajaj Dominar

      Bajaj has now added the Bajaj Dominar 400 to its ‘5-5-5’ festive offer and extended the offer till 31 December 2018. Under this offer, the Bajaj Dominar gets five free services, a five-year warranty package, and five years of free damage insurance cover. Bajaj has reintroduced this offer as ‘Goodbye 2018’.

      Bajaj will waive the labour costs for free services in this offer. The total benefit under this offer is up to Rs.10,000 on the Bajaj Dominar, which has an ex-showroom price of Rs.1.63 lakh.

    • KTM’s 2019 RC 390 spotted for the first time

      A bulkier, all-new BSVI compliant version of the KTM RC 390 has been spotted testing. The new version comes with mechanical updates as well as better equipment. While the test motorcycle was seen with a headlight from the current model, it is expected to come with a vertical unit. The new bike also comes with a larger tank and KTM’s signature one-piece clear windshield. The handlebar is also positioned higher.

      Pricing for the new vehicle is expected to be around Rs.10,000-20,000 more than the current at 2019’s EICMA, followed by an early 2020 launch.

    • Higher demand for the Royal Enfield Interceptor compared to the Continental GT

      The Royal Enfield Interceptor is seeing a greater demand than the Continental GT across dealerships in India. The most affordable 648cc twin-cylinder bikes in India, which produces 47hp and 52Nm of torque, were launched on 14 November 2018.

      The Interceptor is better suited for long rides due to its low handlebar position and its larger fuel tank. The cost of the Interceptor is also Rs.15,000 lesser than the Continental GT. Both bikes also have a wide range of accessories such as crash, engine guards, and saddle bags. The pricing for the accessories ranges from Rs.600-6,000. Royal Enfield dealers have announced a waiting period of 4 months (till April 2019) for the bikes due to their high demand.

    • Discounts of up to Rs.89,000 on the Harley-Davidson Street 750

      India’s cheapest Harley-Davidson, the Street 750, is available at a discount of Rs.89,000. The discounts are available until stocks last and vary from city to city. The discounts offered are Rs.81,000, Rs.70,000, Rs.75,000, Rs.80,000 and Rs.89,000 in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, respectively. After discounts, the ex-showroom prices of the Street 750 are Rs.4.60 lakh, Rs.4.61 lakh, Rs.4.75 lakh, Rs.4.51 lakh, and Rs.4.49 lakh, respectively.

      The Street 750 is powered by a 749cc V Twin engine which produces 55hp and 59Nm of torque. The launch of the much cheaper and almost similar performing Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT are considered to be one of the main reasons for the discounts.

    • Bookings open for 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa

      Suzuki dealers across India have opened bookings for the new Hayabusa at a price of Rs.1 lakh. It comes with an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs.13.59 lakh, which is significantly lower than the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R (Rs.19.70 lakh, ex-showroom price, Delhi), its main rival. The new models are available in the black with grey and grey with red colour schemes. The 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a four-cylinder, 1,340cc, inline engine which produces 199.7hp and 155Nm of torque.

      It is brought to India by means of the Completely Knock Down (CKD) route and is assembled in Gurgaon at SIMPL’s factory. According to dealers, delivery of the bikes will commence from 20 January 2019.

      For my Yamaha bike I took Reliance policy, last year I made the premium around Rs.1700 for one year, my bike is three years old. The insured value is good and also there is no claim ,hence they gave me no claim bonus on the renewal. I am fine with them.

      Only once i spoke with the customer care regarding the renewal and the guy guided me very well. Because of the premium amount is very less and whatever the comprehensive they are giving to a third party which is nice. I used to renew the policy through online. I pay the premium amount of Rs. 700 approximately per annum. I don't remember about the IDV value.

I have bought the policy through online and they have asked me to enter the vehicle model and registration date, engine number. Within 1 hour they have sent me a soft copy of policy documents into mail. I never spoke with the call centre people since i don't apply for any claim. I paid the premium amount of Rs. 1400.
