Tata AIG MediPrime Plan is a health insurance policy which covers hospitalisation costs and expenses incurred for day care treatments, in inpatient expenses, domiciliary treatment and organ donor expenses among others. There is no loading on renewal premium after a claim is made.

|Renewability||Lifetime (grace period for renewal of policy is 15 days)|

|Medical Screening||Required for person above 45 years of age and Sum Insured more than Rs. 5 lakh. Also, l50% of medical costs will be reimbursed if proposal is accepted|
|Sum Insured||Maximum is Rs. 10 lakh; minimum is Rs. 2 lakh. Sum Insured can be enhanced at the time of renewal (as per the underwriting guidelines of the company)|
|Claim Period||30 days from the inception of the policy|
|Sub-limits||No sub-limits for inpatient benefits|
|Tax Benefits||Premiums paid up to Rs. 15,000 (individuals) and Rs. 20,000 (senior citizens) are tax deductible under section 80D of the Income Tax Act|
|Termination||Insurer may cancel the policy by giving a 30 day notice period. If no claim has been made, the company would refund a proportionate premium as mentioned in the policy document|
