Tata AIG’s Individual Accident & Sickness Hospital Cash policy, as the name suggest, offers daily cash allowances to policyholders in case they require hospitalisation due to illnesses or accidents. The policy can be taken by an individual or for a family. The advantage of this policy is that when you are hospitalised due to illnesses or due to accidents then the policy can help cover the incidental expenses you will have to bear.
Features & Benefits of Tata AIG Individual Accident & Sickness Hospital Cash:
This policy can be taken by anyone between the ages of 18 years and 65 years.
Individual or Family
No medicals are required to take this policy
Lifelong provided premiums have been paid regularly.
The policy offers daily cash ranging from Rs. 500 a day to Rs. 25,000 per day.
5% of the benefit amount is deductible when reimbursements are made under Accident Medical
The policy will provide daily cash benefits for 180 days.
The policy provides 5 levels of cover where the daily cash limits increase with each level.
The daily cash limit is split into 3 segments
Daily in hospital indemnity for sickness - can go as high as Rs. 5,000
Daily in hospital indemnity for accidents - can go as high as Rs. 10,000
Accident Medical Expense reimbursement - can be up to Rs. 25,000
The waiting period for the indemnity for sickness is 90 days from the day of commencement of the policy.
Premiums paid towards this policy are eligible for tax benefits under section 80D.
The policy offers a grace period of 30 days from the due date to pay the premiums.
If the policy is changed in any way by the insurer, you will be informed 3 months in advance.
The indemnity for accidents has no waiting period and is activated the moment the policy commences.
The policy also comes with a free-look period of 15 days.
Dependents covered by this policy get the option to migrate to other similar policies provided they have reached an exit age.
The sum insured can be increased when the policy is renewed.
Treatments conducted outside India will not be covered.
Pre-existing conditions and complications that are a result of these conditions won't be covered.
Conditions resulting from the abuse of substances like drugs and alcohol will not be covered.
HIV/AIDS, STDs, nervous disorders, attempted suicide, etc. will also not be covered.
Congenital diseases and resulting complications will not be covered under this policy.
Injuries or sickness resulting from participation in extreme or dangerous sports will also not be covered.
