At State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), you can use three types of electronic fund transfers, National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT), Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) and Group Payment (GRPT).

    IFSC code of a bank refers to the 11 character alphanumeric code that serves as a unique identification of the bank. Of the 11 characters, the first 4 characters are alphabetic and represent the name of the bank. The fifth character is zero.     SBH allows customers to avail convenient, safe and secure modes of electronic transfer, making money transfer an effortless and time-saving experience. You can make the following kinds of transfer at SBH:

    • Transfer money between your own accounts linked in the same bank network.
    • Transfer money from one account to another, belonging to the same bank.
    • Transfer money into the account of another bank using NEFT.
    • Transfer money into the account of another bank using RTGS.
    • Transfer money between branches of the same bank group, under CBS, using GRPT.

    National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT):

    At SBH, you can transfer money from one bank account to another, belonging to the same bank or different, using a nationwide electronic money transfer system, NEFT. For each NEFT transfer at SBH, you will need a transferring bank and a destination bank. All branches of SBH accept NEFT transactions. To initiate the transfer process, you must fill in the NEFT application form provided by SBH. It carries information such as the beneficiary’s- name, account number, account type, branch of the bank. The form can also be filled online and you will need to provide the IFSC code of the branch.

    At present, there are eleven hourly NEFT settlements at SBH on weekdays: 0900,1000, 1100, 1200,1300,1400,1500,1600,1700,1800 and 1900 hours and on Saturdays: 0900, 1100 ,1200 and 1300 hours.

    Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS):

    This is the fastest money transfer mechanism where settlement happens ‘real time’, which implies there is no waiting period in this particular mode of transaction. It is not linked to any other transaction, thereby it is referred to as ‘gross settlement’. RBI maintains the payment gateway of RTGS, thereby making payments in this case final and irrevocable. It is usually utilized for high value transactions as there is no upper cap set by RBI. The information required during a transaction via RTGS is the same as in a NEFT transaction. Once the beneficiary bank receives the funds, it credits the account within two hours.

    Group Payment (GRPT):

    Through GRPT, you can transfer funds electronically between all branches belonging to the State Bank Group, coming under CBS. The GRPT facility allows you to transfer money between other SBI banks and other associate banks. The fund is transferred instantly, as in Core power transactions. The beneficiary usually receives remittance on the same day itself, if the transaction is made by 4:30pm on weekdays (Saturday-12:30pm). If the fund is sent later than that, it gets credited on the next day. All branches of SBH accept GRPT transactions.

    SBH was made subsidiary of State Bank of India in 1959, post which it grew to be SBI’s largest associate bank in the country. With a vision of being India’s most trusted and opted for bank, SBH is spread across the country with over 1500 branches.

    • SBH Gets Innovation Award

      The State Bank of Hyderabad has been named ‘Best Bank 2015-16’ among mid-sized banks for innovative use of technology. The awards were given away at the Banking Technology Excellence Awards function held by the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) in Hyderabad.

      The award was presented by Governor of Reserve Bank of India Raghuram Rajan.

      SBH was commended for its innovative adoption of technology to launch customer-friendly schemes such as e-payment solution for the Government of Maharashtra, Arogyasri Health Trust, Streenidhi, among others.     • SBH in negotiation with SBI for acquisition

      The Board of Directors of State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has approved a negotiation with State Bank of India (SBI) for acquisition of the business including assets and liabilities of SBH by the SBI. SBH said that an acquisition may or may not take place and that the “decision is purely exploratory at this stage”.

      SBH said that a final decision on acquisition will be taken after “evaluating all relevant considerations, pursuant to discussions with relevant stakeholders, upon and subject to receipt of requisite approval from the appropriate authority”.

      SBH was established in 1941 and became a subsidiary of SBI in 1959. The bank offers core banking facilities through its 1800-odd branches. It also provides its customers with internet banking and online transactions through IFSC code.

    • State Bank of Hyderabad to consider funding Mission Bhagiratha

      Mission Bhagiratha, which is the government’s project to tap and supply water from Krishna and Godavari rivers to households in Andhra Pradesh, will be funded by the State Bank of Hyderabad. The project aims to solve the drinking problem of the state of Andhra Pradesh by seeking generous funding.

      The project is on high priority since the underground water levels in the state have gone down drastically and the rainfall too has been meagre. The project is divided into 26 smaller segments and is supposed to be rolled out completely in the next 3 years.

    • State Bank of Hyderabad facilitates renowned customers

      Recently, State Bank of Hyderabad facilitated all its customers who are from a prominent background. cinema actor Gollapudi Maruti Rao, educationist C.V. Sarveswara Sarma, economist K. Vijaya Lakshmi, progressive farmer M Ravindra Prasad and singer R.V.V. Satyanarayana were some of the people that were given this recognition. A total of 15 famous personalities were facilitated. This was done as part of the bank’s platinum jubilee celebrations.

      SBH plans to open a total of 125 new branches across the country out of which 35 will be opened in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh remain the two most important states for the bank however, the bank wants to focus on other states in the country as well.

    • Newest SBH Branch opened in Chemudugunta, Andhra Pradesh

      Due to the continued success of the bank ‘State Bank of Hyderabad’, the authorities have decided to open up a new branch in the village of Chemudugunta. The branch’s opening was inaugurated by General Manager of Andhra Pradesh, K Harihar Rao, on Wednesday, who said that the bank’s business in Andhra Pradesh has crossed Rs. 25,000. Industrial, housing and agricultural loans will be offered to the customers through this branch of the bank. This bank will be the 38th branch which covers both Nellore and Prakasam districts.

    • State Bank of Hyderabad sees a 21 percent boost in total profit

      A mishmash of plans and tactics with a special emphasis on increasing retail credit and more recovery from Non-Performing Assets, topped by better treasury returns, brought positive results for State Bank of Hyderabad. It announced a whopping 21 percent hike in overall revenues for the previous quarter this financial year. Mr. Shantanu Mukherjee, MD of SBH stated that the total profit was INR 375 crore. This is a huge improvement when you compare it to the same quarter in the last financial year, which was INR 311 crores.

      The aggregate income grew by 7 percent to INR 3945 crore as compared to the previous INR 3675 crore. Talking to the media people after getting the Board to sanction the results, he also informed the press that the total NPAs were brought down 48 basis points to 2.39 percent, while the gross NPA dipped by 81 bps to 4.92 percent. Now SBH is actively seeking to pay out to more to MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) and loan products.     • State Bank of Hyderabad will be shifting its Head Office to Cyberabad

      State Bank of Hyderabad would be shifting its head office to Cyberabad from the Gunfoundry office building. The new office building is currently under construction and is expected to take around 18 months to complete. This decision was taken by State Bank of Hyderabad to meet growing business needs and space constraint, with the new building offering over 2.30 lakh square feet of space. The Gunfoundry office will continue to function, with only the head office being shifted to the new facility in Cyberabad.

      State Bank of Hyderabad, Managing Director, Santanu Mukherjee said that the cost of the new office would amount to Rs 100 crores, with the entire project being implemented in phases. As a pre-independence era bank, State Bank of Hyderabad has been offering excellent banking products complete with internet and mobile banking services. Customers can make use of the net banking facility from SBH to perform fund transfers with IFSC codes and also manage their banking accounts.

    • State Bank of Hyderabad Gains an Astounding Net Profit in the First Quarter of this Financial Year

      Q1 of financial year 2015-2016 has brought in a good turnover for State Bank of Hyderabad. The Bank has reported a net profit of 10.5 percent to Rs 251.45 crore. Thus, the Bank has witnessed a total growth in income of around Rs 3,829.98 crore in Q1, compared to its previous fiscal statement of 3,527.62 crore. State Bank of Hyderabad has been able to successfully reduce its non-performing asset value to 5.14% from 6.26% reported last year. IFSC code enabled NEFT, RTGS and IMPS services and transfers are one of the bank’s best features.

    • SBH Fashions Cyberabad Zone & Introduces New Mobile App

      State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has created a Cyberabad Zone to draw more business from some of the swift-developing regions of the city, both domiciliary as well as commercial, predominantly close to the IT centre. Stating the establishment of the Cyberabad Zone to media reps, SBH MD Santanu Mukherjee mentioned that restructuring the Hyderabad branches has led to this. It was formed on 1st September, the new zone contains 107 sub offices with a transactional level of INR 16,228 crore.

      Mr. Mukherjee also uncovered the SBH Touch, operated with the IFSC Code, a much-awaited mobile app that the bank has made to meet the requirements of tech-savvy consumers. This is similar to previous ventures of the bank such as e-connect centres, net banking and the green channel kiosks for trade as well as corporate clients.

    • State Bank of Hyderabad Switches to Solar Power for Its Gunfoundry Branch

      As part of its go-green initiative, State Bank of Hyderabad has installed a 77.47-kiloWatt (grid-connected) solar power system in the Gunfoundry branch in Hyderabad. The system was inaugurated by Santanu Mukherjee, Managing Director, SBH. The new solar system would be supplying power to the entire Gunfoundry branch and has been installed at the SBH head office. The bank said that it was planning to install similar systems in all its offices. State Bank of Hyderabad has added yet another feather to its cap, with this introduction. The bank is widely known for its extensive array of banking products and e-banking solutions in India. SBH customers can comfortably make e-transfers with IFSC codes using the internet banking services that the bank provides.
