The Susrusha Financial Assistance for Kidney Transplantation is a program under the aegis of the Government of Assam’s Health and Family Welfare Department. This scheme was launched in 2010.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for this scheme is as given below:
- Anyone who is a resident of Assam is eligible for this scheme.
- The annual income of an applicant should not exceed Rs.3,00,000 in order to be eligible for this scheme.
- This can be availed by any individuals who have undergone a kidney transplant after 1 April 2010 who mee the other criteria mentioned above as well.
Features
The scheme provides financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh to people who have undergone a kidney transplantation in Assam. This is only applicable for those who had the transplant surgery after 1 April 2010.
Achievements
So far, there have been a total of 386 beneficiaries between the year 2009 to 2017. The total funds utilised amount to Rs.3,86,000. The total funds received by the government amount to Rs.4,00,000. The budget provision in total was Rs.7,00,000.
