What is an E-Challan

The system of the e-Challan had been introduced in October, 2013. This had replaced the paper challan system. An e-challan mixes state-of-the-art technology and also the Traffic Police of the city services.   • Step 2:After you log in, you will be taken to a page with all the fines.
  • Step 3:Choose the fee and make payment via debit or credit card.

Via Paytm

  • Step 1:Go to the Paytm app and choose 'More’.
  • Step 2:Select ‘City Services’ and click on 'Other Services' and choose ‘Challan’.
  • Step 3:Choose the traffic authority.
  • Step 4:Key in details like registration certificate number, e-challan number, driving licence, and vehicle number.
  • Step 5:Choose ‘Proceed’
  • Step 6:Enter the fine amount and complete the payment.

  • Effective 1 July, driving licence can be obtained without test at RTO

    There has been a revision in rules pertaining to accredited driving schools where candidates who have cleared the driving courses will be exempted from a driving test for obtaining a driving licence. This has been notified by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH). These training centres will be equipped with dedicated driving test tracks and state-of-the-art simulators. Industry-specific specialised training will be provided in these centers to bridge the gap in the shortage of trained drivers in India. These rules will be effective from 1 July 2021. The accreditation granted to such driver training centres will be valid for a period of five years and is renewable. The time duration for training for light motor vehicle driving in these accredited driver training centres will be over one month for a span of 29 hours. It will have theory component and practical component. The duration for training for medium and heavy motor vehicle driving in these accredited driver training centres will be spread over 6 weeks for a span of 38 hours. It will also be divided into theory and practical sections. Training will also be imparted on driver etiquette to ensure courteous behaviour with other vehicle users on the roads.
