    Eligibility of the Paytm First Credit Card

    There are no eligibility criteria to apply for this credit card.The Paytm First card is available only for selected customers since there have been a high number of requests since its introduction.

    The only fee for the Paytm First credit card is the annual fee which is Rs.500. This fee is waived off if your annual spends are more than Rs.50,000.

    How to Apply Online

    You can apply for a credit card through the latest version of the Paytm mobile app.
    Step 1: Once you open the application you have to click on paytm first card, you will need to fill in the required application form.

    Step 2: After the form is submitted and reviewed by CitiBank, the bank representative will contact you to complete the KYC process.

    Step 3: The credit card will then be mailed to your registered address.

    How to activate Paytm First card

    The credit card is given to you in a pre-activated state. Once you receive it, you can immediately start using it for any kind of online transaction.

    For any kind of offline transaction, you will need to set up the card PIN. To set the PIN, here are the steps you need to follow:

      • Visit the website of Citibank.
      • Select the type of account as 'credit card'.
      • Enter the card number, CVV and date of birth.
      • Once done, an OTP will be sent by the bank to the registered mobile number.
      • You can then set up the user ID along with the password and PIN of your account.

    If you already have an account with CitiBank and are a customer, the Paytm First credit card will be directly added to your account. You can log in to Citibank Credit Card net banking and follow these steps to set up your card PIN.

    • Select the section of 'Cards' and click on the option of 'PIN related'.
    • Once you do, select 'Generate Credit Card PIN'.
    • Choose the Paytm card and enter your CVV.
    • The OTP will be sent to your registered number.
    • You can then set up a PIN number of your choice.


    1. How do I earn and redeem cashback?

      As a credit cardholder, you will be entitled to 1% cashback on all transactions done with the card. The cashback will be automatically credited to your card 2 days after the monthly bill is generated.

    2. Is moratorium offered on my Paytm First Card?

      As per the directive issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Citi Bank is offering their customer the option to avail moratorium on the payment of their credit card bills. You can defer the payment of credit card bills till 31 August 2020. However, additional interest will continue to be accrued on your existing bill, hence the final cost being higher than your current bill. Hence, avail a moratorium only if you are facing severe financial crunch.

    3. How do I get my Credit card statement?

      Once the bill is generated, it will be sent to your registered email address. Along with this you can also log in to your CitiBank account and download the billing statement.

    4. How to pay your first credit card bill?

      You will be able to pay the credit card bill on Paytm itself through the Paytm First card passbook.

    5. I already have a Citi Credit Card. Can I still apply for this card?

      Yes, you can still apply for Paytm First Credit Card if you have less than or equal to 2 Citi Credit Card.

    6. What documents do I need to submit to the agent for my Paytm First Credit Card KYC?

      The list of documents you will have to submit are:

      • Proof of identity such as PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, etc.
      • Proof of Address such as Aadhaar Card, Utility Bills, Driving License, etc.
      • Passport size photographs

      In case of any discrepancy, you might be required to provide additional documents.

    7. When will my Paytm First Membership get activated?

      If you applied for the membership before 30th November 2019, then your membership will get activated within 5 working days of the booking of your credit card. However, if you applied for the membership after 30th November 2019, then the membership will get activated after 5 days of you spending Rs.100 on your Paytm First Credit Card. The transaction must take place within 12 months of the date of the issuance of the card.

    8. What to do if my Paytm First Credit Card is lost or stolen?

      In the event of your Paytm First Credit Card getting lost or stolen, login to Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile app, and report the loss of your credit card at once. You can also call the Citi Bank customer care and get your card blocked by informing the customer care executive about the loss of your card.
