The bank at its discretion can cancel all or some privileges of the credit card at any time without even giving any notice to the cardholder or without providing any reason.

Request to reactivate a closed Citibank credit card can be raised if the Citibank cardholder cancels the card by himself/herself. However, the request to re-active the card will be processed as per Citibank’s internal policies and the decision to approve or reject the request is at the sole discretion of the bank.
To re-active a cancelled Citibank Credit Card, the cardholder should send a written request to the bank along with a copy of identity proof and a passport size photograph. The documents acceptable as identity proof include PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport, driving license and Voters ID. The written request along with the aforementioned documents can be sent either through e-mail or postal mail.
Once the bank receives the request along with valid documents, the re-activation request will be reviewed.
