Disputed transactions on credit cards issued by Citibank are addressed by the bank on the basis of certain policies which cater to the liability of the customer in regard to the fraudulent transactions. In the case of unauthorised usage of the cards, the bank offers ‘Zero Liability’ to the cardholders. However, it is subject to certain terms and conditions.

Once you raise a dispute and the same is accepted by the bank, a provisional credit will be provided against the disputed amount on the basis of the type of the transaction. However, if the dispute is not accepted by the bank, you will be required to make the payment for the same on or before the due date as per the statement of the credit card.
In general, a maximum period of 90 days will be taken to resolve a dispute in regard to a credit card transaction. This period is subject to the guidelines of Visa and MasterCard.
