The Ways To Check Aadhar Status After Update Request Submitted

There are many reasons why an Aadhaar card needs to be updated. Updates to the Aadhaar are divided into two categories: Demographic data and Biometric data. Once a request to update, change or rectify information on the Aadhaar card has been submitted, the applicant can track the status of it to see if it has been approved, if it’s still in progress or if it has been denied.

During the update process, a resident needs to fill out an application form either online or at an enrolment centre. Once the application is submitted along with supporting documentation to validate the change, an acknowledgement slip and a URN (update request number) will be generated and given to the resident. This should be kept safely to track the status of the Aadhar update request.

What is an acknowledgment slip?

The acknowledgement slip is like a receipt given by UIDAI to the applicant. It contains all the information regarding the Aadhaar card. This slip is required if you want to find out your Aadhar update status.

What is a URN?

URN stands for Update Request Number. This number can be used to track the status of Aadhar update request.
