The Life Insurance Corporation of India has awarded Indian Overseas Bank, Coimbatore region, with the ‘Bima Region’ award for excellence in insurance business.
In this region, 12 IOB branches have achieved ‘Bima Bank‘ status and IOB, Coimbatore region has become the first bank partner in South Zone, which encompasses Tamil Nadu and Kerala, to achieve this honour. The Bima Bank status is conferred only on centres contributing more than Rs 30 lakh as first premium.
According to a statement released by LIC, Mr V. Jayanth Kumar, Regional Manager, Bancassurance and Alternate channels, LIC, South Zone, Chennai, presented the ‘Bima Region’ citation and trophy to Shri S Palanisamy, General Manager, IOB, Coimbatore Region, at a special function held in Coimbatore.
